Below is the Week 6 Bruin Rooting Guide. We will rank the games in order of importance to Bruin fans – from least important to most important to game of the week. We’re back to being irrelevant! The Bruins didn’t take the magic from Pullman to Tuscon and lost in a unwatchable game. Although, our Bruins remain 1-1 with 7 games left, so here we are still rooting on.

Byes: Washington St, Arizona State, Utah, USC
San Diego State @ Colorado State
Of the non-conference losses, San Diego State sticks out as the worst. This game is on ESPN2 in a MWAfterDark slot in Fort Collins and we need the Aztecs to continue winning to convince us that the Week 2 loss wasn’t as bad as it seemed. They’re coming off a bye, so we’re confident they will.
#6 Oklahoma @ Kansas
Not much to see here. Another week, another weak Big 12 opponent for the Sooners to beat up on with Hurts continuing to make his case for the Heisman. The one intriguing set up for this game is that it’s in Lawrence against 1st-year Les Miles. That should wear off after the 1st quarter. To be honest, I wouldn’t mind seeing an upset here, so just for the fun of it, let’s go Jayhawks!
Cincinnati @ #18 UCF
This would be the game of the week if our Bruins were 5-0 and our non-conference opponents helped our playoff resume. As that’s not the case, this is just a fun watch in rooting for the Bearcats to upset a UCF team who is looking to prove they are the best Group of 5 team in the nation. This is a game that could decide the winner of the American.
Colorado vs Arizona
Colorado is coming off a bye after their 2nd ranked win against ASU. Arizona scrapped by us in a very ugly game without two key starters. As of today, we don’t know if Tate will be back for this one and we really don’t care to be honest. Both South teams are undefeated in conference play, but the fact that Arizona owns the tie-breaker against us, we want them to lose to Colorado.
Scout Game Of The Week: Stanford vs #15 Washington
A battle of two North teams, Stanford makes its consecutive appearance in our SGOTW. This time, it’s not their opponent we are scouting. The Trees were able to escape a rally from the Beavers and now host a very dangerous Huskies squad. We don’t really care about Washington’s playoff chances and we want Stanford at .500 when we take them on next week, so we’re rooting for the Cards.
Game Of The Week: #13 Oregon vs Cal
Of course Cal would lose to Arizona State right when we praised them for being on track with the Bruin Source’s rooting interest. This is a game we wanted Cal to lose before the season and we still feel that way. However, we should be rooting for former Bruin Devon Modster to do well this game as he gets his first start since the 2017 Cactus Bowl. Oregon needs help to make the playoffs, but as long as Auburn keeps on rolling, Oregon remains the last hope for the Pac-12. Let’s keep it that way.
